When you look at the teen girls costumes and women's they are ALL cleavage showing, underwear glimpsing costumes, what the heck!?

That's offensive and annoying to me as a woman and a mother!

    Anyone else notice this?

I also think someone forgot to tell the costume manufacturers that Halloween is in OCTOBER not July!
Oh and don't get me started on how much all these new costumes lack in creativity. I could do any of those costumes WAY better with stuff you can find at the thrift store!

Those pre-teen costumes are just alllll kinds of wrong in my book! (Except maybe the Gothic ballerina - I want that for myself though! LOL!)

About 10 years ago I found myself objecting to lacy camisoles as appropriate daywear for teens and preteens. I mean, they look like underwear! But now it's ubiquitous.

    Good luck my dear!

I am a plus size gal. Those sexy (for lack of a better word) costumes are also all that's available for us plus size gals if we want to walk into a costume store to purchase instead of making our own costumes. Oh sure, they have Roman Goddess and Nun, but come on. Really?

Who in their right mind, who is a size 18 or 20, is going to want to show their parts in those types of costumes? And who is going to want to see it? Not me, that's for sure!

There has to be a middle ground out there for all ages and body types.

That is why I always make my own costume.

Not just underwire but padded too. My stepdaughter brought home a bra her mom bought her and it is more padded than my bras. She is 10. I fail to see why a 10 year old should be trying to enhance assets she barely has.

We have a constant struggle finding her age appropriate clothes. She is really tall (5') for her age so she has to buy size 1 in juniors and all I can say is that my mom would have killed me if I had tried to wear some of the clothes available for kids her age today.

They also have thong underwear available in children's sizes...don't ask me why because no little girl I know is worried about panty lines.
