We will be going in October, normally we go in November to see the Christmas decorations, however that didn't work out this year. The lines for the characters did get incredibly long and slow tho. I'd really wanted to get my photo with Mickey because he was dressed as Zorro, as was I, but I bailed from the line after 10 or 15 minutes and still being dozens of people away, with the line barely moving.

Just to be clear, there are 2 different Halloween offerings this year, "Disney's HalloweenTime" includes park decor and characters, and I think a Halloween show at Golden Dreams. It's part of your regular park admission. "Mickey's Halloween Treat" is a separately ticketed event, and is in DCA after it closes to the public.
