Apparently people are standing in lines they have no idea where they lead to...

    So much for MyMagic theory....

Apparently it is really long for the IGER Villain line....oh if only...

There would be a great comic in the image of a bag-headed(he didn't get the famous hockey mask until III)Jason sitting next to some terrified old lady on a plane with his machete in his hand!

ORWEN: We got there around 1 pm in the afternoon but the crowds didn't really start showing up until 3 or 4. By then it was getting crazy.

ORDDU: Since the park is smaller than Magic Kingdom or Epcot, the crowds were more noticeable, naturally. We met up with friends around 6 who said they were about the last people to be let into the parking lot because they noticed others were being turned away at this time.

ORWEN: We agreed that the best part of the night for us was Villainy in the Sky Fireworks--which was truly amazing.

ORDDU: The lines guests started making for Disney Villain meet and greets began forming in the afternoon around 5 pm even though the villains didn't come out until 8 pm. The lines were discouragingly long. This should be a clear message to Disney management that villains are far more popular than they realize.

ORWEN: We suspect that if Disney ever decides to continue Villain Events like this again they will create a hard ticket event like they do with Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween because the guests really turned out for this thing!

This angered a lot of guests who expected to be able to buy them at the park that was actually celebrating Friday the 13th. AS it was the pins went to Epcot instead and were sold out there.

ORWEN: I'm sure the guests at Epcot were happy about this mistake. But can you imagine how upset guests at DHS were after going there and waiting for that pin to be sold there--only to be told it wasn't availble to them after all???

Most people are only there for a week so anything that will only be occurring once during that week they aren't going to miss.

The problem is when they go and then have a miserable time because of the crowds, because most guests won't anticipate that kind of crowd draw and they will be sorely disappointed at what they didn't get to do.

It's like walking around the MK park today. Yes it's decorated for Halloween and such, but after 5+ years of seeing the same decor installed in the same fashion, it becomes BLAND. But who cares.. all of that is only for the infrequent visitor.
Thank God OLC still delivered a brand new Halloween event at TDL for 2013 and guess where I will be next week paying full price admission??? Not Orlando.

While the "please please something new" approach can be trying at times (I've seen this on a large scale at DLR), it also encourages Disney to put out better stuff. Hopefully they'll be able to learn some from the experience and begin to turn things around

God forbid Orlando build even a temporary Halloween walk through!

Hope you got my pics from my yesterday's visit to TDL's Halloween 2013. All new stuff in Tokyo, unlike what WDW does.
