That's really sad and honestly I want to eat more than just fries, salads and a vegetable sandwich. Many sit down restaurants didn't even offer a single vegetarian dish.

Crowds were only bad on Thursday and Friday, I guess that was due to the Annual Pass holders. Saturday and Sunday were better, although I expected it the other way round. It looks like that Three Kings Day is not a federal holiday in France like it is here Austria.

I will write a complete TR later.

That's really surprising. I've been looking over various menus at WDW this week, making reservations for my trip tomorrow(!), and it seemed like every restaurant had at least 2 vegetarian options for the main course. Even on a menu that only has 8-10 items, a lot of them had 3 or 4 veggie options

I don't know how many vegetarians are in Europe compared to the US, but I'm very surprised that the options are so limited there, since supposedly we're the ones who don't care about our meals as much

WDW in 2008 wasn't a problem either, but DLP has always been and will always be a problem for vegetarians. I guess that's because it is in France and they don't like to change their meals for others. It would help to have non-French cooks too.

HKDL has the best veggie options hands-down - every restaurant has something and it is usually exceptional for counter service.

That's a real shame. But the way you said that reminded me of Maelstrom "The spirit of Norway has been and will always be adventure!" : )

I've read about TDR's veggie problems, but it will take a few more years until we will visit Tokyo or Hong Kong.

Then currently DLP must be in a bad cycle. We have been to the Agrabah Cafe three times, because this buffet restaurant has many veggie options and we like Oriental food a lot. We also snacked a lot of fries and salads.

Earl of Sandwich always had a veggie sandwich besides the Tomato-Mozzarella sandwich, but they removed it. Earl was always a good option.

I hope one day, when the financial situation improves, DLP will also improve their food options. I can imagine that the food department ight be limited due to the finances.

Agreed and the new restaurant at Mystic manor is excellent with vegetarian options.

Not a bad trade off since TDR has a vast selection of snacks, more than any other Disney park on Earth it seems. But I also understand that TDR operates primarily to entertain and cater their Japanese market. Whether or not the veggie or vegan selections are limited, this resort still offers the biggest selection of food options compared to all others. Besides, in a population where less than 99% of them are overweight, seems to me the current selection of food at TDR won't kill you. So have a slice of ham at least once, it will put a smile on your face.

It seems we have to go to Hong Kong. DLP's best veggie restaurant is the Agrabah Cafe. We had been there several times and we were never disappointed.

Trip Report Part 1 - Arrival

Last time when we have been to DLP, we bought an Annual Pass, because we didn't stay in a Disney Hotel. Staying in one of the seven Disney hotels means that Park Hopper Tickets are included in your package. DLP offers three kinds of AP, Francilien, Fantasy and Dream, but only the Dream offers 365 days. We bought the Fantasy and that one worked fine for us. Since our passes were expiring soon, we decided to return to DLP.

On January 1st around 7:30 am Claudia and I started our journey to France. We drove from Salzburg via Munich, Stuttgart and Reims to Paris and after a nine hours drive we finally arrived at our hotel in Chessy. Driving was uneventful and since it was a public holiday in all of Europe, there were no trucks on the highway.

Like last year we chose the Relais Spa Chessy Hotel, because the hotel is conviniently located near the huge Val D'Europe Shopping Center with an Auchan supermarket and it only takes a few minutes by train, RER Line A, to Disneyland Paris.

After we arrived, we parked our car, checked in and dropped our luggage off. Our room included a small kitchen with a stove and a fridge, but no mini bar. Both the main room and the bathroom were nice and clean and big enough for two persons. From the window we could see the two Disney Parks in the distance. Of course there was a TV as well and finally a German channel was added to the selection. The hotel also offered free wi-fi, so we could use our iPad. Breakfast was not included in our package, but for an extra fee of 15 Euros it was possible to book it. However we didn't do that and went to Starbucks or to the Cable Car Bake Shop at Disneyland instead.

After we refeshed a bit, we were on our way to the Disney Parks. Unfortunately January 1st was a block out day, which meant we couldn't use our Annual Passes on that day. We knew that before and so we spent the evening in the Disney Village enjoying some drinks during Happy Hour at King Ludwig's Castle and strolled through the Disney shops afterwards to check out the merchandise.

It seems that Disney Village is currently undergoing some changes. For example a new fence was installed to keep the street vendors out of the Disney property. Now visitors have to do a bag control only once when entering the Disney area.

A Lego Store was supposed to open in late 2013, but due to some construction problems it wasn't open yet, but the shop was already promoted.

Disney Village really needs some improvements or a complete revamp like Downtown Disney in Florida is doing with Disney Springs. I never really liked the look of it and now it looks even worse.
