But perhaps I'm thinking too much.... Hey,where the heck is Jo? No press conferences, no Q & A for the faithful, not even a chat with Emerson and what's her name?(hey, I'm a Mugglenetter, I don't even have Leaky Caldron bookmarked...) I'm not looking for a sequel, but considering the brevity of the epilogue, she could at least dish a bit. What ever happened to Fudge? Skeeter? Umbridge? Were the Goblins pissed at Harry over Gringotts? What did Harry do with himself for 19 years? Seeker for England? Auror? Movie Producer? Join George and stop being a silent partner in the joke shop? Why are they driving like Muggles? Dozens of questions come to mind for ME, so I can only imagine the frustration of the kids who live and breath HP.

I want to know how Luna's life turned out.

I was so happy when Percy arrived to fight with the family, that small detail was very important. I am taking it that Victoire is Fleur and Bills child? I hope that she does a book just on their lives since that day and the rebuilding of Hogwarts since it was destroyed in the battle.

I agree I would have loved to have more details about the 19 years after the story.

I don't know about foremost in my mind, but I did wonder that. I am hoping it was Fred =)

<<Cannot WAIT to see them do justice to the final battle in the movie>>
Me too, though I was really looking forward to seeing the golden statue in OOTP help Dumbledore defeat Voldemort and was completely disappointed by that. Hopefully they will do a much better job of the movie for this book.

    P.S. GO NEVILLE!!

    SPOILERS

I was so sad when fred and dobby died, i never excpected that to happen to them. I was not suprised in the least with tonks and lupin, after they made harry godfather of their child, it seemed like a natural ending to their particular story. I wasn't suprised with mad eye moody either, as sad as i was. I was really annoyed for some reason that colin creevy bit the dust. probably because his character was so young. Loved the fact the harry and dudley in their own way, kind of made piece. Such a great and exciting book! i just wish we could have found out in the last chapter what happend to others like luna, and george.

Didn't JK say she make write another book with the proceeds going to charity. I know she said she wouldn't write another Harry Potter book about Harry or something. But an epilogue book could have another character as the lead, or perhaps not be about a single character per say... :p

It would be nice if she wrote another book for Comic Relief, she raised a heck of a lot of money for them last time!!!

Anyway, this was a great book! I don't know if it's my favorite one yet, but it's up there. I liked that the main characters were most of the focus. I was really sad that Ron got angry and left. I was depressed that he wouldn't come back, and extremely happy with the way he did come back.

As far as crying, I was sad about a lot of the deaths, but since there was usually so much action surrounding them, I didn't cry so much as was sad. There were two moments in the book where I really couldn't help myself crying. The first was when Ron and Hermione were at the Burrow with Harry and telling him that they were not leaving his side. They each described the lengths the went to to protect their familes. Hermione's story made me cry because of the sacrifice she made. The fact that she hid her parents and erased their memories was just so sad, and touching at the same time that I cried. The second time was when Harry resolved himself to face Voldemort and was walking through the Forbidden Forest with the Resurrection Stone. When he turned it over 3 times and had James, Lily, and Sirius by his side, I just broke down.

The epilogue was good, but I agree that not enough was said. I wanted to know more! Like who raised Teddy Lupin? He was an orphan, and I thought for sure that Harry would have taken him in since he was his godfather. I'm sure Luna and Dean ended up together since that was hinted at in the last few chapters. I wanted to find out what each of them would end up doing for work. It's great that Neville was the herbology professor...makes total sense. Percy seemed like he also worked at the school in some fashion. I'm also SO happy that Harry and Ginny, and Ron and Hermione ended up as couples. Did Harry end up living at Grimmauld Place with Kreacher, or did they move to Godric's Hollow? That was another question left un-answered.

Anyway, it was a great book, and I'm overall, very satisfied with how the series ended. Oh, and I was glad Snape was redeemed.

Before it came out, J.K. Rowling let out a few teasers about characters or situations, as well as dispelled some rumors. Well, one of the things that she said was that a character would do magic late in life. People were speculating on who that might be. Some said Petunia, some said Filch, and there were other guesses.

Well, now that I've finished the book, I have no idea who she was talking about. Did I miss something? Who did magic late in life? I really don't think you can count Molly Weasly, since she's always done magic in the books...just not a magical duel. Who do you guys think J.K. was referring to when she said that then?

Maybe, but him being so good in herbology kind of lead the way for him being the professor, so I'm not really surprised.

This has been bugging me too. I've even re-read a few chapters to see if I missed anything. I can't figure this one out.
