We thought it was a little spendy (I believe its close to $12 a person) but a lot of fun. There were two parts to Fantastia Gardens the Fantasia themed side and then a "serious" mini golf side that was more like a mini real golf course I believe. I've definitely been to mini golf courses that have more unique "tricky" holes but the Fantasia themeing I thought was great, and there were still some good surprises on the course. For us it worked out great because our flight out our last day was mid-day and we didn't want to spend the money for another theme park day but we didn't want to sit around either. So it was a great end to that trip. We haven't rushed back to do any mini golfing since just because there are so many other things to do but I think if it seems like something that might accomodate your schedule and budget while you're there it could potentially be an enjoyable way to start your trip as well!
