After a surprise visit from Jack Sparrow to promote On Stranger Tides, out steps the biggest shocker of the Disney panel: Guillermo del Toro, fresh off his leave from The Hobbit. And what was he there to pimp? Apparently he's tackling a different Disney ride - The Haunted Mansion. Nope, it has nothing to do with Eddie Murphy and will most definitely NOT be a comedy. But as strange as it is that Disney would reattempt the franchise so quickly, it makes sense - is there anything more perfect for del Toro than the macabre family-friendly property? According to the short speech, the movie will be an "E-Ticket Ride" (nice reference, Guillermo), and will most definitely scare small children. "If you take the children they WILL scream. But it is good for them - it will be a litmus test for character." Nice. And of course, it's going to be in 3D. Now that's a real shocker. Check out more as details come in!" http://www.ugo.com/movies/comi...-mansion I REALLY think this means that this "reverse synergy" is going to get us our Hat Box Ghost finally added to the HM. Think it will effect the ride in any other way?
