Read the Article in this link. It includes concept art of an MC Escher Staircase, Floating Leota Head, New Portrait Hallway, New Bride, and a
photo of an expanding room gargoyle.

Not as elaborate, but I know he talked about it a little more in depth too.

Eerie enhancements are materializing at The Haunted Mansion!

When The Haunted Mansion reopens this fall, you'll notice that strange things occured. "We increased the feeling of presence and movement between Guests and ghosts," said Walt Disney Imagineering Creative Show Producer Kathy Rogers.

Digital audio will give our old pal the Ghost Host the power to hop around in the stretch room, and to dart back and forth on your "doom buggy." In the gallery, a lightning storm will cause the portraits to become more and more ghostly!

Even disembodied medium Madame Leota's had a face-lift - literally. Her crystal ball will float in midair! In the attic, look for an extra-creepy bride with a string of grooms, all pictured below her. Each undergoes a change as the bouquet in her hand changes to an... well, we just can't give it all away!

    It will be.

I was told that extra $$$ was actually diverted into the project over the summer in 'a test' to see if guests really 'appreciate' higher quality enhancements ... sadly, I'm not kidding.

This is how bad things have gotten. Disney will invest on one E-Ticket to see if it has tangible effects. They won't improve/plus attractions just because they should ... because they're Disney and that's how the company USED to be run. Nope, not in this WalMart era.

If people do like it, you really should flood Disney with compliments ...because right now it WILL have a difference on how much winds up being spent on the upcoming Space Mountain and Jungle Cruise rehabs.

A test you say??, note to self... give compliment once an hour every hour...

I'm surprised we are getting some of this stuff like the floating sound in stretching room... in addition to the Disneyland upgrades.

I always wait to actually experience something before offering an opinion, but, that said, I think this is really going to turn out terrific.

The Mansion has always been my fave MK attraction since my first visit as a child. That's why its condition recently really pained me.

They are doing this one right, but that in and of itself doesn't mean everything.

For instance, I also think they did a fantastic job on Small World a few years ago (even if most of it was the queue area and improving the sound) but now it has problems again because they steadfastly refuse -- in their current business model -- to maintain things.

Spirit just FYI but the project that opens on September 13 is EXACTLY what was approved last year. Nothing more and nothing less. I think someone is trying to negatively spin MK there.

Hasn't the Ghost Host always floated around the room? I thought he did at Disneyland, at least. Or maybe I'm confusing it with the Haunted Mansion Holiday version, where he does do that.

Is the schedule the same as it was when the project was approved last year?

I don't know the specifics of this Lee, so you well could be right (you do get it correct every once in a while! :) )... but we all know spinning is so common in the Disney Universe you'd sometimes swear everyone was traveling in a Tea Cup!

No matter, I'm just thrilled that my fave MK attraction is getting some much needed TLC AND plussing.

Looking forward to seeing the results this fall.
