E.G----I used to be 100% pro-choice---now I'm realizing that a fetus exists earlier than I thought and women should not have carte blanche to abort whenever they want and for whatever reason. I've changed.

Yet, how many people here do you actually know? I've changed my mind on numerous important issues.

I am certain many others have as well. It's the nature of the dynamic mind.

And this should be in World Events.

Unbelievable the venom you two are spewing here.
I hope you don't contact many people all day long and share your anger.

cape cod joe: Let me share something with you. Laughingplace is a disney site. These msg boards are a disney board. Before you showed up here, the boards were just about entirely disney. Than a change had to be made as more and more posters and topics began showing up of not a disney nature. Not all political, just were simply different. The ones of a non disney theme but of a theme park were lumped into the "other theme parks" category. As the need arised, many other sections were created. Including "Play Pen" and "World Events". Most recently, the "LP Radio" section underwent a change and through a few steps has become "LP Live & Podcast".

LP (since I know you like to shorten things up) has gone through many changes to accomodate these non disney specific changes of its community. Which brings me to my point. As a courtesy the owners and oporators have allowed these topics to continue is a mostly civil manner. This was a choice they made as they saw a growing need.

When you ask a questions such as
" I don't think many people here have?", the tone of that questions is one of disgrace and a complete lack of knowledge of this website, its owners and opporators and more importantly the community in which resides here.

A topic of this magnitude does not have a specific section (but that may change)and is best fit into a section to contain it. That section is the world event. As much as you concider pro-choice vs pro-life a small issue, it is a world issue. Just as HIV, poverty, wars, govt and other such topics of import. When someone on the site suggests that this topic belongs in another section, take it for whats its worth. Especially one that has spent more time out of WE than in WE.

A word of advise, learn to go along and than you shall get along. That doesnty mean you have to conform to any ideas, but that does mean you have to follow the rules and you must maintain a civil tone. Even Beaumandy knew that. He knows what and where to post a topic. He understands that this is a Disney community that allows other topics to exist. Which is to say alot more than other disney sites.

You may disagree with a poster but you do not have to be rude to everyone that disagrees with you.

I hope that some of this sinks in, because however you may have intented your 1st post here. It began as an argument because you were looking for a fight. Those types of topics are not treated very well here in Community and are best kept in World Events.

Thank you for your time and have a disney day. =)

They don't fare well there, either, but at least it's a place where you can spar with people. Usually the rest of LP is not as open to that. Unless you are talking about DCA. Or strollers. Or churros vs. popcorn.

The whole experienced turned out to be very nice. He ordered some simple things that he felt someone trying it for the first time might enjoy: one was tuna; the other salmon. Along with saki, he made the whole experience very enjoyable.

The sushi was okay. I didn't die. I didn't even gag. And while it's still not something I choose when everyone asks "where shall we go to dinner," I could do it again.

PS - I could never bring myself to eat the squid (although I do enjoy a good fried calamari).

I don't think many people here have?

You presume to know that people here have never changed their opinion on an important matter.

Then you bring up a very hot topic, abortion. This is not the place to discuss abortion and your political views. The place is WE, as others have pointed out.
