The Disneyland Resort has reassigned cast members who previously watched for inappropriate behaviors by guests in souvenir photos.

hmmm would be funny if this was a trick by Disney hoping more will do it and now they get arrested for indecent exposer. would be very easy to hold the ride till the cops showed up.

I think this is quite an overreaction. As long as Disney can be sued for damages, they'll keep the security cameras.

She didn't say or do anything, but she stood in the back corner looking a little grumpy, and did a great job of scaring people away from their pictures. I didn't see any naughty ones, but there definately wasn't as much lingering around the phots are there usually is.

I know that she didn't do any screening, since she was just standing there, and the vast majority of guests had no idea she was there before they went on it (unless they rode single riders or were visiting with someone who needed special assistance), but it did a great job of keeping people a little more serious, and I'm pretty sure it was a direct response to the announcement that they were removing the screening postion. I just have to wonder if it saves any significant ammount of money to have one of the store CM's stand there (she was wearing the store outfit, not the Splash one) instead of a ride CM scanning the pictures before they pop up. It just doesn't seem like it would make a difference to me.

And here's a picture in case anybody's interested (my friend didn't realize until later that I was taking the picture to get the grumpy lady, not him, so it's a kind of funny picture to demonstrate the point here):
