The lifeguards were there for a few hours and had the slide open too until they finally gave up when the rain did not stop. I sat in the hot tub with an umbrella so I was warm enough to watch them-lol! Almost a year later and my kids still talk about how much fun it was and now we bring the wetsuits everywhere. Last weekend we went to a party and the normally heated pool was freezing because the heater was broken. Whipped out the wetsuits and my kids swam for hours. (We get them at costco for cheap-like $20 for the little one and $35 for the big kid!)

Anyway, when I was at the DLH in July/August, even though the weather wasn't extra warm, I was only cold in the pool on the day that was 70's and cloudy. Last week, still summer and with temperatures in the mid to high 80's, I was cold. I don't think the water was heated--or if it was, it was not much. I also don't know if that's typical.
