To be safe and make sure everything will be open early October would be a great time. I went last year for the 11th i believe and the crowds we ok. I have also been late October and the crowds were heavier closer to Halloween. The HMH and spacemountain will be busy and require fast passes alomost all the time.

All the AP folks who have to see the newest changes on the first day descend on the park. Other than that day, late Sept. would probably be great.
Originally Posted By FerretAfros HMH is opens at the beginning of the HalloweenTime stuff and runs through Christmas, which usually ends up being about the third week in September to the first week in January. it's a small world tends to close at the beginning of November for its holiday layover, and remains open until mid/late January (when the regular version of HM reopens).
