    Liers didn't exist back then.

What old law are you talking about?

    Makes you wonder....

So where does the Book of Mormon fit into all this?

    Yes, I'm trolling.

What I cannot respect, and I have never understood, is one simple failure of so many religious believers: The simple acknowledgment that one man's religion is another's superstition.

I don't believe Orthodox Jews should get to legislate that no one can eat pork. I don't believe that certain Muslim sects can legislate that women should wear burkas. And yeah, I don't think Mormons, who believe that there are living prophets today, get to legislate around whose marriage is ordained of God and whose isn't. They are welcome to practice it in their temple. They are welcome to not invite the "unworthy" into their temples. They are welcome to preach from their pulpit, till they're blue in the face, what marriage is (conveniently ignoring what they thought it was 120 years ago).

But they don't get to legislate it. It's really very straight forward.

    Yeah. Within limits.

No. Especially when the limits are being breached.

This is not a forum for proselytizing, and we're not going to let you turn it into one.

Turns out we're not a theocracy (much to the disappointment of many Christians).
