I don't recall anybody proclaiming it was finished or perfect.

All I said is that Disney never declared it finished, so everyone saying "Disney bowed to pressure" is exagerating it a bit when they claim Disney is adding stuff because of complaints.

Notably, this attraction was not declared "unfinished" until Siemens took that stance in an article well after the grand opening.

If anything, something is amiss if these tiles have been hanging there for months now without being finished.

Just my opinion on the matter.

I think if they would have left it the same from the futuristic city until the end people would have been much happier. That way if you were tired of the video games at least you could still look at all the pretty lights.

Isn't that what Walt said? "Spaceship Earth will never be completed as long as their are critics on LP.com"?

They werent added because the attracions descent sucks and there not adding anything more even though everyone says the ending is bad.

Don't be surprised if they are never activated either. When they refurbished and reopened Space Mountain in california there were some effects at the beginning of the ride that were never turned on that are still sitting there in the dark and they may never come on. (You can even see a large asteroid just sitting there in the dark). I think we may have the same situation here.

Maybe it is just the bad mood I'm in, but I thought that was really funny?

I bet mousermerf could tell you what day they went up. There's not much he misses when it comes to Epcot.

Can I quote you on that Skelly?

It's not true, those were added after the hoopla for reopening. They were not there at all for several months of the ride's operation.

They even added more over a series of weeks and worked on painting a few until everything apparently stopped - right at the same time as Siemen's putting out a press blurb about the ride not being complete (just before more kiosks arrived in the post show).

No, I thought maybe the reference was to someone (anyone) here on the boards. I had a stressful school board meeting today and came to LP looking for something to laugh at. That just jumped out at me. Did Skellington not mean it the way I took it? Sorry if that's the case.
