Apparently the idea is to keep it simple and allow them to reinstall HISTA in one year, allowing it to stick around another 2-3 years.

Of course I would enjoy a one year Magic Journeys return while they are deciding.

Maybe I'll get lucky with soft openings.

Me too - would love to see that trippy film again in 3D!! Not sure it would play well to today's audiences, but I would love to see it again!!

I think to really appreciate it, you had to see it in its original location as part of the whole 1980s EPCOT Center. It just really fit into the whole late 70s/early 80s vibe that EPCOT had during that time period.

I remember seeing it in Fantasyland in the late 80s too, and didn't think it worked as well there.

I do however quite like the music from Magic Journeys. Hearing it play throughout Epcot on the 25th was a nice treat.

Really? I really liked that movie as a kid. Maybe that explains my love for Magic Journeys...

Leo-I'll be honest with you, I don't see it either. I don't see them running EO for that long, either. Let EO play for a year, year and a half, announce the new JII at the D23 Expo in 2011, close it all down and let work begin.

If they play their cards right, the transition could be seamless.
