It was nice for us, because we always came back to the room early to get our preschooler tucked in to bed. It was fun for us to watch the fireworks from our room. The balcony wasn't very big, and we didn't ever sit out there or anything. They have a live webcam on their site, so that might give you an idea of the view you might have.

Keep in mind this was back in Christmas 2003, and I did have to zoom in.

    I think it's worth the extra $10.

The very tip top of the Matterhorn and the monorail. There was a tree right in front of our balcony so the view was very obstructed. We were on the 4th floor, perhaps had we been higher we might have seen a bit more. Anyway, we are going back in October and even though there is only a $10 difference we didn't feel the need to have a view room again. We have requested a different building this time just because we didn't feel the view was really a view. Either way, we LOVED Hojo's and are very excited about going back.

FWIW, we always stay at Hojo Anaheim and we always pay the extra to get Building 1 facing Disneyland. I like the convenience of being in building 1 (it's jst a little less of a walk to the park)and facing Disneyland, you don't hear the freeway noise. They've always taken good care of us at Hojo Anaheim.
Their prices used to be a lot better, but it's supply and demand. The parking is free and we've never had a problem finding a stall, unlike some of the smaller, closer properties in which we felt like we couldn't go anywhere lest we lose our stall. Add to that the free high speed internet and we're good to go!

Again, they paid for the hotel stay, and they requested a low floor. We normally get a high floor. Here's the link if you want to see it...You can barely see the top of the Matterhorn. <a href="http://travel.webshots.com/photo/1250675482033952238tOaaYY" target="_blank">http://travel.webshots.com/pho
