Another question. We have a 5 day park hopper pass, but we are going for 7 days. We get there at 3:00pm on the 1st day, so I guess it would be best not to go into the park then, and waste a days pass. The kids really want to go to build-a-bear. Is that in the park? Do you need a disneyland pass for downtown disney? Is that where build-a-bear is?
    Thanks!!!!!!!!

I would bring stuff to eat for breakfast (instant oatmeal, cereal, milk, juice, muffins) even though the kids eat free - it will add up - also if you have the food in your room the kids can eat as you are all getting ready.

This hotel is walkable if you exit the hotel and go back towards the freeway - walk down the little street (it dead ends - I think it has a Disneyland Gate for car entry but you can walk in) you will see the Mickey and friends garage - walk up one floor (this will get you past the driving in traffic) and then walk across the garage and then back down to the trams (10 min walk maybe).

Remember it's spring break so make sure if the kids are young you put a phone number on them somewhere (I see people put stickers on the kids backs or I even saw a lady writing it directly on the back of her daughters arm (I figured she did that so the shirt covered it in the pix) - Make sure the kids know who they should approach if they get lost (CM's all have the same type of name badges).

Regarding the 5 day hopper and the 7 day stay, you could upgrade you hoppers to a deluxe AP (and thus have an "excuse" for returning within 12 months).

3PM is not that late a start, expecially if the parks are open late that day.

Just for your information.. You can no longer walk through the disney parking lot to the parking garage..I tried it. The security guard stopped us right away and said that they are no longer letting people walk through. So.. if your going to walk, don't count on this shortcut. You will have to walk up to the street lights, cross the street and walk up towards downtown disney and take the path into the tram drop-off area at downtown disney (its not a short walk).

Just thought I'd let you know... You'll have fun..that Holiday Inn is a peaceful one. (Away from all the traffic and noise of Harbor Blvd)
