Tony was the last of the principle players (Natalie Wood, Jack Lemmon, Peter Falk, Keenan Wynn). Larry Storch (Texas Jack) and Marvin Kaplan (Frisbee) are the only two actors left, along with director Blake Edwards aka Mr Julie Andrews. My favorite film of all time. Ditto about a DVD tribute screening.

"40 Pounds of Trouble" with Suzanne Pleshette and Larry Storch. Weird and confusing editing of the park scenes. I had no idea that the monorail drops you off at the main gate! =8^0

Thanks for the memories, you great Great Leslie you!!

    When did Peter Falk die?

And Natalie Wood never looked better in that movie.

    That sounds like fun.

Mad World is a great film. So is Some Like It Hot, another Curtis/Lemmon vehicle.

    Sigh. Classic comedic actors. RIP

35 years ago, the local TV station, as some kind of weird promotion during the holidays, KTLA ran 'The Great Race' every night for a week -- my dad and I sat and watched it just about every night.

This was of course before cable was as typical as it is today, and before VCRs or DVRs.

With commercials, it seemed to span 4 hours from 8 to midnight.

My mom would spend the evening in another room of the house, and every time the scene came on when they were on the iceberg honking the car horns, my mom would call from the other room "what the heck are they DOING?"

    Ah, good times...
