In-Depth With Disney CEO Bob Iger on China Growth, 'Star Wars' Reshoots and Political Plans: "A Lot of People Have Urged Me to [Run]" - Hollywood Reporter
Thanks for the link. I've only read a few parts, I will read the rest later, but it seems to be a very interesting interview.
Interesting stuff. Although a lot of these seem like tough-ish questions, there are a lot of softball answers that sidestep the real issues. I was impressed by the openness about Staggs though I find it fascinating that Iger can go from explaining how he's not looking at a career in politics because he's too busy running Disney, to talking about the big NFL deal he just worked on separate from Disney. I also like the implication that Iger is responsible for putting Aaron Rogers brother on The Bachelorette! His response about having no relationship with Sumner Redstone (while completely ignoring his wife's long history) was pretty sly, especially after the work he did last year to scrub the internet of an inflammatory HufPo article about him. With two-faced talk like there, he's doing nothing to dispel rumors of a political run And of course Zenia Mucha (head of communications) was the first person listed in his confidants. No surprises there.
