We've been to DLR a bunch of times, so are familiar with Midway Mania, Tower of Terror, Star Tours, and really have zero interest in that car action show.

Anything else we just can't miss?

I guess I can't find many reasons why someone who visits DL regularly would want to visit the Studios, but then I could say the same for WDW's Magic Kingdom.

I guess the redeeming value of WDW's Magic Kingdom is (in my opinion) a far superior Tomorrowland. But then I'm an old-timer. I think the People Mover and Carousel of Progress are great attractions.

As a repeat guest, fond of certain elements, I always do Toy Story Mania, Tower of Terror, Great Movie Ride, Muppets, Star Tours. With usually one of the shows, but I change which one each visit. And RnRC if the timing works out, but it's not a must see for me every trip.

Tower of Terror is different enough that you want to do that. And Rock N Rollercoaster is great.

I'm fond of the Little Mermaid show, but not THAT fond of it. I found Beauty and the Beast akippable. Fantasmic is different enough, but it's not as good as DL's.

I guess the Great Movie Ride is unique.

The Great Movie Ride is also very unique, but has just seemed really odd to me the last few times I've ridden it. Overall, there are definitely enough 'different' things to do that I would include the Studios in the itinerary, taking away one of the second visits to another park.

Despite having twice as many parks and them taking up much more space than the DLR counterparts, the overall attraction count at WDW is pretty much the same. Missing the Studios (which has a lot within its small footprint) cuts down on a lot of the total attraction count, and most of them are unique from DLR, though it could be argued that most of these attractions aren't must-do's (despite what Stacey might tell you on the hotel TV).

And I agree with dagobert that MK is probably the weakest of the WDW parks, though I also don't have kids. It's like DL with about half as many attractions and a third of the charm, spread out over twice as much space. If it were up to me, I'd probably skip MK entirely and spend all that extra time at Epcot, but I recognize that most people wouldn't agree with that strategy (especially those with young kids)

I would definitely agree with you. EPCOT was our favourite WDW park.

One trip, we skipped DAK entirely (if you don't count the ~1 mile of the Marathon that goes through the park before it's open), and I think we spent a total of about 8 hours there between the other two trips. More time was spent at MK because I was with some WDW newbies, and the attractions that I like to do there tend to have longer waits

I loved World Showcase.

We loved Fantasmic and really enjoyed the show. WDW's Tower is superior to its cousins in DCA and WDSP and definitely worth the visit.

Good to know, now I'm thinking we should probably go just to do some of the things mentioned.

Who knows when we'll get back to WDW, so I suppose it would be worth it just to take in and see as much as we can.

I'm hoping in January, lines won't be long, so we'll be able to squeeze in everything we want to.

Rockin' Roller Coaster is very fun as well, Great Movie Ride is a classic, One Man's Dream is great, and TSMM is always fun.

If you've never seen it Indiana Jones is a fun show, and Star Tours is Star Tours.

Honestly, EPCOT and DAK are my current least favorite parks at WDW, so they're the ones I'd be skipping.

Also, there Fantasmic! sucks compared to DLR's, so you probably don't want to waste any of your limited time there.
