Home alone?

    So what about you guys? Do you find it odd when your partner/girlfriend/boyfriend/husband/wife is away? How do you manage it?

    Single here, but I remember the different feelings when one of the parents would be away when I was a kid. With Mom it felt like something was "missing" in the household, and that things would get "back to normal" when she got back. With Dad, I felt a little more wary because as a 6 foot 4 conservative no-nonsense farmin' man, he was always the big strong "security" presence there. I just always felt safe with him around (not to mention he had those huntin' guns in the closet, lol).

    Then when my older sister went away to college, it was extremely weird---I didn't expect it to hit me as hard as it did, and I realized at 14 that I actually, like, "missed" her, lol.

    It was my hubby the discussion was about, but it's this week that he's there. Was hoping to meet DVC dad, but hasn't been able to get through to his mobile. That being said I think he's been pretty busy with the work stuff.
