I have been surfing the web and found some great deals but just not sure about the quality/safety of a $60 a night 2-3 star hotel. anyone have any luck with budget properties? we will spend most of our time in the parks so we dont need much, just safe, clean and fairly close. Hoping for the best...

I bet you could request being in the tower. They are very easy to work with. Tell them you're from LP. They are LP sponsors.

Stick with Fairfield or something like that. If you call HoJo directly you may have more success--they are always great!

I believe Darkbeer or someone had a pedometer chart or such with the real distance from the hotels to the park. Maybe a shout out to him.

With the money saved you could either use the ART system or park in the lot. Some of the higher end priceline hotels to have their own shuttles. I think places like the CrownePlaze, Hyatt, Marriott all by Target have shuttles.
