Most places around Mission Bay/Sea World were going for close to $200 a night.

Just wonderful. And the ocean view is incredible (spring for the full ocean view if you possibly can!).

A quick net check tells me that it is FAR from "moderate" though lol. Considering out half-price deal it costs about 4 times what we paid at the time (this was back in 2000 though...guess hotels cost twice as much as eight years ago! yikes.).

Pacific Beach is a lot of fun... Great boardwalk restaurants... Great people-watching. Just a blast... One of my very favorite places!

You MUST go with an oceanview or ocean front room. There's nothing like sleeping with the sliding door open - lulled by the wonderful sounds of the ocean waves. Ahhhhhhhhhh.... :)
