Is this something we can expect to see this year again? It really is a joy to be able to walk around without a ton of people on top of you all day, and really take in the ambient sounds of the park and it's lands.

    Thanks for any info.

Have a great time on your trip :) I hope someone else can give you a definite answer on how crowded it is.

The minute Disney thinks they will have small crowds, the hours and entertainment get hacked to death. I just read another thread where someone was complaining about how crowded the parks were (and should be) in early August and why Disney felt they needed to cutback hours.

Have a great trip, the one time I went during that time crowds were very low, but that was before reduced operations, shorter hours, and free dining, kept things crowded.

Florida schools are back in session and crowds usually die down towards the end of month as ChiMike stated. Hope the crowds aren't as bad as when I went. Hope you have a good trip!!!

The other parks are operating on the exact same schedule for this time period they have for the past 4-5 years.

I remember when my family would spend Labor Day weekend at WDW to celebrate the end of summer ... both the MK and EC were open until midnight for three nights. Imagine that .. yep ... times have changed.

WDW resorts are offering special food deals starting 8/13 and they went so far as to leave a message requesting everybody checking out starting 8/13 to make sure they left on time (and they had the housekeepers pretty much watching most of the rooms and knocking on doors at 8:30AMish) - so there might be a few more people than normal at the resorts for this time of year.

Still, compared to past summers in the pre-9/11 days, parks seemed pretty easy to get around in.
