The minute Disney thinks they will have small crowds, the hours and entertainment get hacked to death. I just read another thread where someone was complaining about how crowded the parks were (and should be) in early August and why Disney felt they needed to cutback hours. Have a great trip, the one time I went during that time crowds were very low, but that was before reduced operations, shorter hours, and free dining, kept things crowded.

The other parks are operating on the exact same schedule for this time period they have for the past 4-5 years. I remember when my family would spend Labor Day weekend at WDW to celebrate the end of summer ... both the MK and EC were open until midnight for three nights. Imagine that .. yep ... times have changed.

Still, compared to past summers in the pre-9/11 days, parks seemed pretty easy to get around in.

Originally Posted By WDWs Future Well, I just got back from my 4 night stay, and CMM1's post is still fairly accurate. The parks did feel pretty crowded..but if you at least have a clue of where you are going and what you want to do, it definitely helps
