I was kind of surprised that by the afternoon ST at Disney's Hollywood Studios was a walk-on (the "hot ticket" at DHS appears to still be TSMM). I definitely would not use a FP again at DHS.

DHS has 6 simulators to DL's 4 plus DL is much busier than DHS and ST is right at the end of Main Street in DL. You could ride ST at DHS as long as you can take it. It appears that they have more than enough capacity at DHS.

Pre-revision at DL it used to be busy in the mornings and then opened up in the the afternoon.

I'm wondering how Star Tours is working out at DL in terms of line waits.

For what it's worth, the entire weekend had fairly light crowds (until shortly before the fireworks last night when it became a zoo), so I suspect that the waits have been longer on regular days.

And it's also worth noting that the area in front of ST is always packed with people. In addition to the additional people in the area, they're using the center of the walkway, under the PM tracks, for stroller parking. If you want to go to Buzz from Star Tours, you have to manage your way through a tight bottle neck to the area near the DVC booth, and turn around. We did everything we could to avoid that area, since it was just not even remotely pleasnat. In other news, the walkway in Adventureland seemed downright spacious this weekend.

Wow, I was afraid of that. It was a bottleneck in that area before, I can only imagine what it's like now. Hopefully that will prompt them to work on the Astro Orbiter removal sooner rather than later.

And with the above mentioned stroller area, it's like the largest crowd you've ever seen packed into a tiny area, with everyone trying to get somewhere all at once. Definitely avoid this area as much as you can!

I was surprised that Star Tours at DHS was already a walk-on in the afternoon. I'm guessing that the difference in ride wait is due to capacity (1.5X more at DHS), the location (DL versus DHS), and the differences between DL's customers versus those at WDW. Once you have seen all the variations a couple of times, then maybe the interest will die down.

It is also interesting to see very long waits for Soarin' at DCA versus EPCOT. It is killer long at EPCOT with FP selling out early whereas it is relatively easy to get on at DCA. I think the issue at EPCOT is that there are so few whole family attractions that are not 20+ years old. I surprise there is any concrete left on the path between Soarin' and Test Track as people seem to just oscillate between these to at Epcot.

BTW, One other thing I noticed at WDW was that you flew past the "pre-show" driods. Basically, they were filling the vehicles so fast (and the droids were so close to the load) that you often missed see them (particularly the second "TSA-like" agent). At the same time there didn't seem to be a good place to let people pass you so you could see their routines.
