    However there is hope!

You can get an open source product for free (they do ask for donations and contributions though),

    and that product is called

    Open Office

    available from <a href="http://www.openoffice.org/" target="_blank">http://www.openoffice.org/</a>

It's not as polished as Microsoft Office, but the word processor is the best part of it. You will have to change it to save to word format instead of it's proprietary format.

you can run it on Linux, you can run it on Windows, you can run on it on Mac OS, you cannot run it on a typewriter.

Do you need Word just to view files?

Then you can get for free Microsoft Word Viewer, it allows you to view Word documents, but not create or edit.

    There you go! Enjoy.

You can also hotwire that GTO you always wanted, but it's not something you should do.

My question is, does the app you are trying to run require word or just a word document?
