More and more schools are getting a full week off for President's Day, sometimes called Ski Week or Rodeo week. Disney has extended hours for the entire period due to the expected crows.

We left on the Tuesday ofter tha holiday so didn't expereince the park after the three day weekend, but if I remember right Monday was noticably less busy that the weekend. It was still busy, but less so. AP's are blacked out so that keeps some of the locals away. I would imagine that some people take advantage of the Monday holiday and stay the following week, but with kids in school it would be easier to do the long weekend instead.
