Sooo, any ideas? What do you usually use? I don't really want to carry a typical purse around all day. I was thinking of using one of those cross over body purses that you carry on your front. Anyone ever carry one of those? I really like the idea of it being carried in the front for easy access to the camera, ect.

Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!

Light, dorky touristy-looking lol, but it did the job.

We did just discover the lockers and wow they are great!

I usually keep my small plastic holder on a lanyard in my right hip pocket with AP, FP's, credit card, money, and ID in it.
Left hip pocket gets my camera sans case for quick access and fast shooting (and _nothing_ else goes in this pocket so the camera stays protected)
Right cargo pocket gets the camera case-now filled with a plastic bag full of quarters and pennies for pressed pennies
Left cargo pocket usually starts out open.
Both cargo pockets always end up with schedules, receipts, and other random small stuff in them throughout the day.

But, we also always get a locker first thing in the morning to store any sweatshirts or jackets and that's where I throw extra camera batteries and/or memory cards (unless I know I'll need it soon). But since we usually can't make it through a day without buying at least one thing and _hate_ carrying bags around the park we always stash stuff in the locker right after purchase.

And I really want my hands free. All I carry to the park is a camera, a few snacks (trail mix) and a wallet.

Now to go find a Disney fannypack on the web.....

    Thanks again!

I really liked the simple one shoulder bag versus the fannypack.

Disneyland maybe the happiest place on earth, but let's face it, not everyone is as honest as all of us... That reminds me....at WDW several years ago, I put down my camcorder and walked off and left it. I can't begin to tell you how upset I was with myself for having done this. I was totally frantic...I checked with lost and found, but no one had turned it in...then all of a sudden my son saw someone walking with what looked my camera over his shoulder towards the exit...well, we ran to the lost and found and my camcorder had been returned. I was so happy I could have kissed all the cast members! Whoever this gentleman was, he has my deepest gratitude. So there are some honest people out there and I found one. After that....I am extremely careful not to do that ever again! Whew!! ºoº

I have several sizes and sometimes DH wears the big one and I wear the medium one. DH wearing a fp always makes me giggle but hey, better than lugging around a backpack. If we have to bring extra clothes like sweatshirts, coats, etc. we get a locker and come back to get the stuff when it gets cold, even if we are staying at a close hotel. It is just a pain to leave the park, go back and change clothes so I just pack some sweats for the kids and slip it right over what they are wearing to keep their legs warm.

I don't bring that much into the park but one pocket holds the tickets and fastpasses, the big pockets holds the camera, sunglasses, sunscreen, purell, a few treats and the gameboys for playing in long lines. The back pocket closest to belly holds the money and ccs. I can even hook packages onto it by slipping the strap through the handle of the bags. It's a good system and for DL, I'm sticking with it even if it looks very unfashionable. I figure who is looking at us in DL anyway-lol.

I like it cause it's easy to take on and off during rides. Or I can just leave it on and it sits on my lap.

    Never been a fannypack person.

It also has a little handle on top of it if you want to carry it in your hand.

Another thing I've found recently is fannypacks to hold your camera or camcorder, which also has extra pockets for your money, tickets etc. Hope this helps.

Everything will be so convienent to reach! I think I'll go and buy another one that's a little bigger. They had a lot of styles. O'and it's a cute lavender suede. They have other colors, however. I love it! (I like purses, as you can probably tell. LOL)

Now to figure out where to carry my water.

I see a lot of different Travelon bags on QVC that look nice. What's the item number of the one you got? It sounds perfect.

My son is 9, and somewhere on line I saw a kids sporty fanny pack with a drink holder. I thought that might be perfect for him to hold his water, spending money, nintendo DS for long lines, and a few snacks. I just don't know if he'll carry it around, and if he does, I don't know if he'll hate me for the pictures of him with it on in a few years. LOL
