As for me, what made my parents happiest, I think, is how easily I dealt with the surgeries I had. Nothing major - tubes a couple times, adenoids out, and eardrum transplant, but each time I was a good patient, and did quite well. I always got more priase when I was cheerful about surgery than I did wehn I made all As. LOL
