    I think what makes them happiest now is that I'm a good husband and father.

    Back when I was a kid I think they were happy that I was responsible and never put them in a position where they had to come to the police station to retrieve me.

    I suppose my early youth years. I was an exceptional student, I got high grades and accolades from K-6 grade. I was very good in little league baseball, I was in scouting. Teachers, coaches, and adult authorities used to praise me. I would assume that made my mom happy back then.

    LOL Ursula I was just going to write that I think they were most happy with the relationship my sister and I had and still have. We are 4 years and 4 months apart but we were always close and still are.

    As for me, what made my parents happiest, I think, is how easily I dealt with the surgeries I had. Nothing major - tubes a couple times, adenoids out, and eardrum transplant, but each time I was a good patient, and did quite well.

    I always got more priase when I was cheerful about surgery than I did wehn I made all As. LOL

    Having been adopted as a 2 day old baby, I think they were pretty happy right off the bat, but overall, they taught me to be able to be wrong and accept responsibility for it.

    I'm amazed at the number of people I meet in this world that are never wrong and nothing is ever their fault.
