I apologize for the misstatement. It was an editing error, and it was mine alone." Anything else?

Oh, and if you're so bloody worried about crazy on-air folks spewing crap that might motivate others to murder, start with Bill O'Reilly and his "Tiller the Baby Killer" mantra. Did he ever apologize, or even care? Even after Tiller was gunned down? And you say "are you kidding me"???? Puleeze.

I remember driving through the midwest and hearing a leftie radio guy pull something out of his butt about Bush, and it ticked me off because it was just hogwash and demonstrably untrue. I have no idea who the guy was, and I've never heard of him again. But the usual meme of trying to equate Beck and Limbaugh with Olbermann and Maddow just won't fly. Yes, they're all ideological, and Olbermann can be a blowhard sometimes. (Though Maddow never is and is smarter than any of them.) But you'll have to do a much better job of showing that the latter two "make stuff up" than that one poor example.

And yes, she's a self-proclaimed conservative. If you think Meghan McCain is not conservative enough and therefore unworthy of holding the title of "conservative," that's your own political bias, not hers. Rachel Maddow is smarter than any pundit on the right and has the PhD in public policy to prove it. She doesn't "make stuff up" and makes corrections with full apologies for unintended errors in her stories when they become known. Still waiting for a solid example of something Dr. Maddow "made up" that she did not correct or retract later on.
