And that's not so good because somehow they always start a forest fire.

It is IMHO the worst time of year for a WDW visit, although it certainly doesn't mean you can't go and have a great time. Just drink lots of H20 and go back to your hotel for some pool time. Nights (unless it rains) are a great time to be in the parks

We've been back 3 other times and are planning another trip this June. Just remember lots of water, light clothing, in otherwords don't wear dark colors. an umbrella is always a good idea especially waiting for the parades and take a break in the late afternoon by enjoying your pool etc....then go back at night. It is beautiful during the evening hours, but boy, during the day, whew!! Have fun! ºoº

(weird) but theres lots of airconditioned buildings about to cool down in.

It can actually take your breath away. We love goin gto WDW in August and are planning it agan this year [but too earlly to hit the free dining] Lots of water and breaks are a must. Also utilze the air conditioned buildings throughout the day. You'll have a great time!

It rained every afternoon around 4:30 for about 30 minutes or so, so we just waited for that to end and off we went. Have a great time.

For me it is even worse when it is 90/90 in Florida, but the indoor attractions are airconditioned. Only the travel between them is bad. I have never been in August but twice in June would deter me some. The only time I was ever truely dry those trips was about 1/2 hour out of the shower and still in the air conditioned hotel. That said, if you are going, get to the parks early. Do the non AC attractions early or late and siesta 1:00 to 4:00.

I'm a lifelong (almost) dweller of Texas, and neither it nor Hawai'i (other place I've lived) come anywhere CLOSE to 95º in August in Florida. True, Hawai'i doens't get that hot, but here in central Texas we can get into the triple digits - which is almost, but not quite, as bad as 95º on a humid day in Florida. The secret? A/C and keeping yourself hydrated!
