Just wanting some input from anyone on how much money do you usally budget for food while on vacation in DL ;) We are hoping to do lunch at Blue Bayou (it will be a first for us) and a character breakfast also. So we are budgeting separate for those.

Any input would be very appreciated :) Thanks!

They have up-to-date menus with prices for the parks, the hotels, and Downtown Disney. They'll give you a pretty good idea of prices that you'll pay for meals (though they don't have the prices for snacks like churros or popcorn). And, if you're extra meticulous (in other words, have OCD), you already know where you're going to be eating for every meal, and what you'll be having most of the time, you can budget your food out to the dollar.

Not that anyone would do that...of course not! So, um, yeah... :)

We pack standard snacks each day (fruit, chips, granola, etc). Each of us have $7 per day for snacks and then kids meals are an avg of $6-$7 per person. A good adult dinner at Plaza Inn or French Market is gonna be around $11-$16. At Plaza Inn the kids pasta dinner is pretty good and I'll get that with a salad. Our budget is pretty generous in dollar amount. If you're gonna eat lunches there....depends on where you eat. If we eat lunch there our 2 favorite places are Coca Cola on Main Street and Hungry Bear. If you go to allears.net/dlr/din/menu/menus.htm they have a pretty complete and accurate menu.

Hopefully others will post links also.
Anything to help the budget. Right! I am excited to receive this 30dollar coupon at Tortilla Joe's cause I wanted to go this weekend when I fly in(on my witches broom) for the DL Halloween weekend. I received it just in time! Perfect. Soon I will not be in Kansas anymore. Must remember to avoid all Dorothy lookalikes at DL especially if they have a bucket of water.

I don't know if that helps or not, but there you go.

The nickle and diming can add up, plus since you bought that stuff before your trip, it is not eating up your "fun money" allowance.

For meals we figured probably $30-$40 per person because for 2 meals in the parks. This was when the kids were probably a few years before and after 14, 12, 10 age and they are girls. My girls are now 21, 19, 16. (Which I can hardly believe!)

If you are planning on buying all the snacks, water, 2 meals in the parks, I would plan on $50/person/day. In this day and age, that is.

    Have fun planning your trip!

It would be one thing to charge double for what I can buy at home but a .25 cent banana for $1.80 or $3 for a 20 oz coke when I don't ever pay over $1 for a 2 liter at home. Water is $3 there when all you have to do is have a water bottle and refill it at the faucets for free.
