ORGOCH: Yeah, we was imaginin' what it would be like if older Dizzyland fans was ta try goin' there with a walker er a cane ta hobble 'round with. Wouldja be willin' ta go if'n ya had ta take a cane er a walker?

ORWEN: And if you had a hearing aid would you turn it up as high as you had to--and if you had false teeth would you still try eating a carmel apple or even a Churro?

ORDDU: I suppose it all depends--

ORGOCH: --on the kind a diapers ya have ta depend on!!

ORWEN: What would a Laughing Place Meet be like when we're all in our 90's?

ORDDU: Fortunately my sisters and I don't have to worry about aging, since we're--

    ORGOCH: --permanently old!!

ORWEN: Speak for yourself, old biddy! I'm still young and vibrant--like Jessica Rabbit!

    ORGOCH: In a bat's butt!

ORDDU: Anyway, ducklings, could you ever see Disneyland become a haven for the nursing home crowd?

Of course, institutions as venerable as Disneyland have faded and gone before. Don't underestimate the pressure of shareholders - if in, say, 30 years, Disneyland is out of fashion and begins operating at a loss for a few years, it may not be around when I die. (I don't anticipate this happening, I'm just pointing out there's no reason to assume Disneyland will be there forever just because it's popular now.)

I have family just a few hours away from DL and they have drastically curtailed frequent visits also due to ticket price increases and gasoline and food costs for just one day trip!!!

Then my husband and I stood in line for the Tower of Terror behind the most extraordinary couple, and we got to talking with them. They were in their late seventies; just by looking, you wouldn't have been able to tell. They were waiting to ride ToT for the second time that day, just to change it up from the Rock n' Roller Coaster (that they'd ridden 5 times already). They told us they are there a couple of times a year. Throughout our week at the World we ran into this couple numerous times, obviously doing WDW kamikaze-style. They changed my whole outlook and thinking about the Parks and about getting older. I will now "Mouse" 'til I drop, and maybe beyond!

This is not even counting my disappointment at the creative direction the parks have gone in over the years. I have my memories of the good times, and that's all I need.

That being said, we are looking at planning a second trip to Tokyo DisneySea within the next couple of years.

We decided that we keep going as long as we are physically able to make the trip, even that means we are a little old couple riding scooters around side by side. Since we are 31 and 39, hopefully that means we will have many, many more years of Disney trips ahead.
