Both times, there was a sink outside the bathroom with a mirror AND also a sink inside the bathroom with the tub/toilet. These were not the rooms under the stairs. We've also stayed in a Kids Suite in Building 1, which has two bathrooms, and the sinks are inside the bathroom with the tub/toilet.
