Dave why do you bother posting? This is the exact problem with this site, most of the people who post in the WDW section bring nothing to the table but endless whining and complaining. It's sad.

But you are right, after 10 years of being on this site, I am considering go away.

As to the parks, I pretty much agree. I grew up with both, but primarily DL. Back then, I probably preferred DL. But as I've gotten older and taken a family, I really enjoy the vacation feel, pace, and space of WDW. I still have a ton of fun at DL, as I'm sure you still do! But for a complete transport into the magic, WDW wins. Beautiful grounds outside really are a plus, as well.

As for the details being better in DL, I would tend to agree. But it still doesn't close the gap for me.

    Either way, ENJOY!! :)

I think something most people forget when comparing parks in the MASSIVE expense Disney faces in maintaining all the property at WDW. They are solely responsible for maintaining 47 square miles. The 'Reedy Creek Improvement District' (Disney World) is entirely responsible for the area. They provide all roads, utilities, security and even their own fire department. They even generate over 30% of their electrical usage on-site! WDW faces a huge cost in maintaining infrastructure that Disneyland does not face. Does it really surprise anyone that Disney tries to recover a portion of this cost through DVC sales etc? Yes, Disneyland may get a little attention to detail that WDW lacks. But WDW does a tremendous job in maintaining what is truly a vacation CITY!

There may have been good reasons for the design change, but the WDW ToT experience is WITHOUT A DOUBT superior to that at DCA. And I'm a big fan of DCA...

I prefer WDW's exterior, but I love the mirror effect and not knowing when the drop is coming on DCA/WDSP's version.

I just wanted to share with people why they are different.

Oh good God... stop the drama. When have I EVER asked you to leave or ignored your posts? I frequently disagree with your opinions, but respect them enough to respond to them. What's the problem? I learned long ago that this aint' the place for a love fest. If you can't take complete disagreement on damned near everything it isn't the right place to be!

My sentiments exactly. Plus you just can't compare EPCOT and Animal Kingdom to anything in Anaheim.
