The hardware is what is becoming the issue. My external burner doesnt seem to work.

You could probably get by for a couple months with just the 30-day trials from Adobe.

Well after 3 months of uptime with regular use, I decided to shut it down for the night. Next thing I know, it wont start. So began several hours of troubleshooting. next came the planned trip to frys. Well i decided to just buy the mac at the mac store and call it a day. So far it has been good. I realized that I need more external drive enclosures as I had 6 internal HDd on my last computer. So Im going to go buy 2 2tb mybooks and load everything off of these drives one drive at a time. So my mac mini will end up with several external harddrives and an external burner as I got the combo drive and not the superdrive.

Originally Posted By peeaanuut It seems to boot fine right now. the 2 external drives I have connected are both firewire so that helps on plugs and stuff. Still getting it set up. Just installed firefox and getting my music worked out right now as we chat. Unfortunately I didnt delete alot of crap on the old drives so that is taking some time as well. Oh well.the fun of a new toy,

I found an old 100gig hdd that I formated and now Im scooting stuff from 1 drive to the next and than formatting and so on and so forth. Gonna take a while but oh well. I dont feel like doing burn back-up right now. Oh this is going to be lots of fun. So now the list grows. Jayna wants one now, My mom wants one, Jaynas mom wants one and I have decided that a mini would work out alot better for a HTPC than appleTV. Oh what have I started?
