In my dream I went to this big old bed 'n breakfast in Bardstown (where I've stayed at The Talbott Tavern and The Jailer's Inn). It was pretty dark inside with a kind of ominous, foreboding mood, and I slowly walked down a large, long hallway past several rooms. I decided to go in this one room (there was no door, just a doorway/entrance) and it was some kind of big Victorian-like sitting room---very high ceilings, very old and elegant furniture (maybe a suite with a bed, I don't remember that for sure). I start lookin' around wonderin' if I'll notice anything odd, when I'm lookin' at the seat of a chair. There's an impression in it like somebody (or something)'s sittin' there, and then all of a sudden the impression vanishes---as if someone arose from their seat. I stare at it in awe, and then feel a strong force behind me; I'm picked up by the back of my shirt collar and on the left hip, carried over to the entrance, and forcefully ejected from the room, landing in a gangly heap on the floor. I go back in again a few minutes later, see the impression on the chair, and once again it disappears as if someone sitting down has just risen, and I'm taken out of the room a 2nd time. Naturally I'm flabbergasted, with a mixture of excitement/caution. I take off down the hallway and find a 5 or 6 stairs going down to an outside door, and then at the landing there's a turn and 5 or 6 more going down halfway below ground. There's a kitchen there, and I run down the stairs and stop just inside the kitchen. People are milling about making food, when finally a manager-type man notices me and asks me if I need anything. I tell him in my shocked tone what just happened to me, a waitress overhears me, and they follow me back upstairs. The 3 of us go down the long, dark hallway and enter the same room, and as I show 'em the chair, we see an impression in it again---and then again it vanishes. They step back amazed, and then the spirit picks me up again; this time, *way* up. It lifts me into the air and kind of "tosses" me around the upper airy "canopy" of the room, all the while having a hold on me...I'm smacked against the upper parts of the walls, flopped on the ceiling, hustled through the air...but not painfully, just enough to have the wind knocked outta me. Eventually the spirit sets me down and we hastily leave the room. This was such a blast---that 3rd time was almost like a DL ride, lol. Man, I could *totally* feel the physicality of the unseen being hurtling me up from my independent standing...the hard thumps of whappin' me against the walls and ceiling...the rush of the air past my body as it does its acrobatics on me in the upper plane just below the ceiling...the utter astonishment at seeing the appearance and disappearance of the impressions...the uncertainty and erieness of the dark, tall, large, quiet ominous surroundings...just one of those dreams where you feel like you really lived it had you not been asleep, because your senses were so engaged in the dream. I may have had a few experiences with "the unknown", but this unconscious one just about takes the cake, lol.
