With some trepidation, I look out my window, and see a 747-100 with a very unusual piggyback payload - the space shuttle Endeavour. It must have been preparing for landing at Ellington AFB / Johnson Space Center for refueling on its way to its final home in Los Angeles. The base is quite a ways away from where I live, so I'm a bit surprised that its flight path would take it directly overhead and so low, but it provided a unique treat to start the day with.

I got to see the Enterprise piggybacked onto an old American Airlines 747 when it refueled at Eglin AFB on its inaugural trip to Kennedy Space Center, back in the late seventies. It really looks cool as it takes off from the runway.
