The water channel that the bridge crosses connects the Rivers of America to the MK's frontside Seven Seas Lagoon. (Through a set of locks) The bridge moves to permit boat traffic to pass. This is only done during park closed hours, of course. This backstage water channel is used as a "drydock" area for Rivers of America watercraft. That's where the Liberty Belle is currently docked. I walk by to visit her occasionally. She's resting comfortably.
