    Dracula Legacy Collection
    Frankenstein Legacy Collection
Dawn of the Dead (1978 and 2004)
    Texas Chainsaw Massacre(1973 and 2003)
    Halloween
    The Sixth Sense
    The Ring
I don't have a whole lot as you can see so I pretty much open to suggestions.

    Poltergeist
    Alien
    The Others

The Thing is good, but it takes place in Antarctica so the freezing climate takes away that October Halloweeny feel, lol.

The Uninvited is more "atmosphere" than "scary", but it's a very good film

Here's a page you may be interested in taking a look at:

And not quite as scary, but ya gotta have "Garfield's Halloween Adventure".

*=not "Halloween scary", but classic Hitchcock

    Phantasm
    Carrie (old but classic)
    Exorcist
    Invasion of the Body Snatchers
    Rosemary's Baby

    Amityville Horror
    The Bad Seed
    Nightmare on Elm Street

That's a start at least. Have fun!

Barton Fink was another weird but good, scary one. Lots of double meaning in that one.

    other recommendations would be

Evil Dead II (Army of Darkness is also good fun)
    House on Haunted Hill
Van Helsing (for a modern take on classic movie monsters)
    Pitch Black
    Tremors

And the number one recommendations for films that fit the Halloween theme...

    Sleepy Hollow

    Rebecca*
    Shadow of a Doubt*
    Never seen these two.
    Psycho
Probably my least favorite Hitchcock. It's a tie between Rear Window and North By Northwest as my favorite

    The Birds
    Own it and love it.
    Night of the Living Dead
Seen it, but would watch again.
    The Legend of Hell House
    Never seen it.
The Shining (I like the TV movie, never seen Jack's)
    Poltergeist
    Alien
    The Others
Seen the rest and I own Alien.

Seen it a couple of times, don't really care for any of these films.
    Phantasm
This I haven't seen, I'll include this one.
    Carrie (old but classic)
    Great movie

    Exorcist
    Never really liked it.

    Invasion of the Body Snatchers
    Which version?

    Rosemary's Baby
    The Omen
    Amityville Horror
Seen all of them and thought they were kind of ridiculous

    The Bad Seed
Never seen it, might add it on.

    Nightmare on Elm Street
Seen it plenty of times, still pretty effective.

I think a problem I have is a lot of scary movies I watch just don't scare me.

I've only ever seen the 1978 version with Donald Sutherland but I've heard the original 1956 (?) version is a bit better. Isn't that almost always the case? lol.

    <<Rosemary's Baby
    The Omen
    Amityville Horror

Yeah, I was afraid of that. LOL. They are classics though and so that's why I included them. Well, that and because I saw them when I was like 8 or 9 and they scared the bejeebers out of me! LOL.

<<I think a problem I have is a lot of scary movies I watch just don't scare me.>>

Hmm. Well, now that would be a problem, wouldn't it! LOL. If you prefer the "intellectual" thriller to the "blood and guts" thriller, Devil's Advocate is, imho, a good watch but I've already rec'd that one to ya so let me think on it some more. It's been a loooong time since I've watched any scary movies. lol.
