I'm just talking and thinking here but, imagine going inside a building, and getting on a magic carpet, the same as they have now with the seats obviously, and the ride takes off on a track and makes it look like your soaring over Agrabah. Maybe below you they show a film (kinda like soaring) so it feels like your really flying over the city etc. Or like the Peter Pan ride flying over a small model of the city. Then as you go on you pass pyramids, maybe birds etc.You could keep the spitting camels! Then suddenly the ride picks up speed as either you are being chased by Jafar on his own carpet. The tracks would start to go up and down so you can feel it in your stomach, and maybe at one point you end up in the cave of wonders or something and it picks up speed even more as you race through. If not in MK maybe you could put this ride in Epcot near the Morracco area. This would give you something to do in Morracco. Adventureland is TROPICAL...a desert is real tropical.... The color scheme is so bad in AL too. It's bright purples and pinks like Fantasyland in a land that is defined by the colors of vegetation, mosstly green and browns of the grass huts. It just seems so out of place. Don't get me wrong an additional ride is never really a bad thing (even if you don't like it it diverts line crowds for shorter waits elsewhere in the park) but this thing just seems so thrown in and out of place. Plus weren't Dumbo AND Astro-Orbiters enough for this genre? It's like Dumbo is the classic everyone loves, Astro is a classic too but not really seen as such but it's different because it's up high, now they add Aladdin with camels that spit...wow that concept is so original (ahem, one fish two fish, ahem). Ugly and unoriginal If it were in FantasyLand it'd fit visually much better. I think they're just trying to get a Dumbo-like ride in every land. Look forward to the spinning tumbleweeds in Frontierland and the leaping horses of Paul Revere (Or Ichabod Crane) in Liberty Square in the near future!

This looks like it might JUST squeeze into the marketplace in Adventureland" and WDI was like "Yaaaaay!" and that was that.

It was *very* cool, but obviously too limited in guest capacity to make it a regular attraction.

I remember they had a survey after because it was actually a test/prototype. I think that when it was finished they had one set up in the Space Mountain arcade for like 10 dollars a play for like a 5 minute game or something nuts considering admission price for the park. Then when they opened DQ they made it a permanent feature slightly changed where there are again multiple riders as opposed to single at the SpaceMountain version. It's the same technology and they kept a lot but now instead of trying to find the 2 scarab pieces as in the prototype you and the rest of the guests try to fly over magic gems which are used to defeat Jafar or rescue the Genie or something. DisneyQuest is great although they've raised prices so darn high on that place. I think the first time I went it was 18 dollars, now it's 38...and I don't believe they've added any new *attractions* other than updating the arcade machines.

But rejoice...at least the spitting camel is back on again and working as it should (camels were recycled from Al's Caravan Parade float from MGM).

The PotC attraction there is excellent and everything else is very good too imo. Plus I love dodgeball bumper cars, what can I say.

Originally Posted By MrToadWildRider It's mostly flatride. So if you want to play skeeball you gotta shell out the standard 25 cents a pop because I'm assuming they don't want someone with a DQ AP to go in and just play skeeball over and over and just walk out with all their top tier redemption prizes. Just about everything inside is included though included unlimited used of video games both classic (Space invders, asteroids, missle command etc.) and modern fare such as fighting games, dancing games, racing games etc. There are a number of attractions that are the main draw as the arcade games are available at most local arcades (although DQ is huge so they probably have a larger selection than most) but the arcade games are fillers and you just walk up to an empty game, hit the start button and you're good to go as they're all set on free play.
