So if there were no AP's and you lived locally, you would be willing to spend at a minimum of $400 six times a year to go to DL? I base that on the fact that you are a family of 4. If they had a multiday ticket that would be closer to $600 or $700 at a time.

Many locals can probably afford the s.cal passes now. But at that price many probabably would be priced out of the parks completely.

While that would be great for the guests that are there with having smaller crowds, you get into the fact that smaller crowds means less money for Disneyland to grow or improve anything. Means less money for shows and entertainers.

I would only guess that if they priced the parks out of reach for the locals like that, they would then have less success with the city counsil and residents of Anaheim to get things passed in their favor. If the locals couldn't enjoy the parks, why would they pass items to help improve the parks?

The commoditised abuse of a fan base that treat is as a mall means we get poorer quality experiences. TDL always up the anti because they have to try harder to get people to buy the day tickets and expensive APs (nearly 2x the cost of DL premium AP).

I would much rather we had a quality model, and I would be willing to pay for it too.

I get the question now, sorry.

I would go twice a year to DL and then our usual one to two-week WDW trip. I would probably skip DCA every-other trip or are we assuming park-hoppers are available for purchase?

For DL: One time would be at Christmas, so since I like to go in January, there goes the Halloween trip. I'd still do the CHOC Walk, though, I just wouldn't go into the park at the end.

But for WDW, I'd have to be really creative on the tickets. No park-hoppers and no length of stay passes.

Some days, we like to resort-hop and rent boats and hit DTD and the like. It would take a LOT more planning as one would have to make creative ADRs.

Just for the record, when I did have the AP, I spent VERY little money on Disney property. They make more on me when I'm outside the parks than when I'm inside 'em. It's people like me that they need to price out of the APs.
