Craters of the Moon, in the middle of nowhere in Idaho, is good for a repeat, too. We went from volcanic fields to caves with ice, to climbing a cinder cone! The kids would have liked a couple of days to explore instead of the few hours we had. Buffalo are a dime a dozen in Yellowstone these days. We saw them everywhere. Lots of elk, a bear, and a wolf feeding on a carcass alongside the river.
