    What I think is really dumb, or silly at least, is when they do a commercial where it's the candidate doing all the talking and no more content than that (McCain has a recent one like that, I believe Obama did too at one point)..and at the end they STILL say "I'm so and so and I approve this message".

    Well, duh. Isn't that sort of just taking the spirit of the rule a little too far? What, if they don't say that it means they didn't approve of their own words? (well, in McCain's case..maybe so :p)

    I'm Mr X and I approve everything I've ever said (except that one time).
