My eyes started tearing up watching Jayden, my 3 year old daughter. Her eyes were wide open, she was just in awe. It was a dream come true for me as I have been fantasizing about a Disneyland trip since I was pregnant with her. We got off the train in Fantasyland because we saw Mickey and Minnie. I was holding Jayden's hand so when she went running I went running too. The smile on her face was huge. At that time she didn't get to hug Mickey or Minnie because they were walking into Toontown, but since there was no line at IASW we decided to go there. I consider that Jayden's first Disneyland ride and she loved it! I've heard her singing the song a few times since we've been home. When we got off IASW and headed to the bathroom, my hubby went and bought an autograph book and pen. Perfect timing because Mickey, Minnie and Pluto were back. Jayden got her picture taken with all of them but her favorite (and ours) was Mickey Mouse. He spent a lot of time with her. He tickeled her, hugged her, scooped her up in his arms...she showed him her hurt pinky and he kissed it. She loved imitating his kiss sound. Then he held out his pinky and she kissed his. Seeing the castle was a big highlight for Jayden but her favorite thing was probably meeting the characters. She had new Disney Princess light up shoes that she was so proud of. First she showed Belle her shoes (she loved Belle, sat down with her and hugged her, thought she was beautiful), then showed Cinderella and Prince Charming. Cinderella told Jayden "Maybe I'll get some shoes with YOU on them." Jayden crouched down and said "Let me see!" Cinderella said she didn't have them yet but held up her dress for Jayden to look at her shoes anyway. One of Jayden's favorite souvenirs is a pair of glass slippers. Oh, and about the fireworks...I haven't had time to look through all the topics since we've been gone so don't know if it's already been talked about, but on Tuesday there were fireworks for some reason. We got there on Saturday but first day at DL wasn't until Sunday so we watched Saturday's fireworks from the hotel pool (Super 8 on Katella) thinking that was our only chance. And they were so awesome, even without the music. I've never seen such pretty fireworks, even on 4th of July. Maybe AZ just sucks, but DL's fireworks were really beautiful to me. And then what a bonus to get to see them again Tuesday night. Well I could write so much more about our trip but this post would be even longer than it already is. Just wanted to share how much fun we had and how unhappy I am (seems like everyone else is fine) to be home. I'm not missing the sore feet (we walked to and from the hotel twice a day (for lunch and a nap) for 4 days) and some other things about our trip, but I sure am missing waking up in the morning knowing I'm going to Disneyland. *sigh* We'll do it again sometime...

Thank you all for reading my trip report! I am STILL constantly thinking "I wish we were back at Disneyland" but now with the holidays coming up I do have more to occupy my mind. I'm sure though when we put up our tree and get our Lilo & Stitch ornament out that we bought at DL I will probably start tearing up. As it is every time I polish our entertainment center and see the picture of us all standing in front of the castle and my daughter's hand out with Tinkerbell standing in it...just gets me every time. Such an awesome vacation and, allow me to be cheesy here, this website and the tips and advice from the nice people on here definitely contributed to our unforgettable Disney vacation.
