And quit whining. There were half a dozen people on that thread excitedly talking about attending your meet until you basically told them to go screw themselves. LP is a very welcoming, forgiving kinda place so you don't even need to worry about it. Next time you have a chance to meet people, it'll be fine. But in the meantime, quit whining and grow up. Geez! I have a form of autism called aspergers syndrome...I have a difficult time with social interaction. Not saying you have such a disorder, but you do seem to have some social skills you need to work on. You should reschedule a meet. Just say when and where, specifically. No need to make a list of people or anything. Do it for a time you know you'll be at the park; don't make a special trip just to have a meet. If people show up, great. If they don't, no big deal...it would not an indication that people hate you, they just couldn't make it.

Most of us are a pretty accepting and welcoming bunch. Will everyone like you? Nope. There are a fair number of people here who don't like me; I'm sure that's the case for nearly every LPer. There are always going to be people who don't like you in any huge group. But I think you will find warm acceptance from a lot of folks here if you treat them decently.
