One of the many knocks on Mitt Romney is that he cannot relate to the working, middle class of this country. And I fully agree with that.

But can someone explain to me how attending a star studded event that raises you 15 million dollars a record also puts you in touch with the common folk?

Both have fund raisers with wealthy donors. Logic 101 tells us that either 1). Both care about the middle class. Or 2). Candidate A does but Candidate B does not. Or 3). Candidate B does but Candidate A does not. Or 4). Neither does.

The reason for this is that holding fund raisers with wealthy donors neither establishes nor precludes caring about the middle class.

You have to look at other actions to determine that.

Generally I haven't had much good or bad to say overall about the President. Personally I like the guy, but I don't vote because I personally like someone.

Part of me hopes what we see isn't the "real" Obama because...well...<yawn>. Though I will admit I have enjoyed the sense of humor you see once in a while and particularly at the White House Press Dinner. Guy has good comedic timing.

There are other candidates out there and I hope one day we won't be so tethered to the two party system that voters feel they must choose the lesser of two evils.
