I can't believe he only got 6 months--

What makes this different than cooking lobster?

the question is meant to start a discussion. Especially because I like neither dog nor lobster, I would never cook either. Alive or dead.

peeaanuut- I don't really want to play in this discussion, however, I'll state my opinion briefly. You might as well compare all living organisms. A plant, a shellfish, a fish, an insect, a baboon, a cat. Where can we really draw the line? Does a lobster really feel on the same level as a dog? Are they capable (cognitively) of being aware of their own 'being'? In other words, can they really connect themselves in a way in which they think "Ouch, this hurts." Based on their brain size, I'd say no. (Do they even have a brain? lol) Dogs can make a connection between, "Ouch, this hurts.", and "That guy is hurting me." They may not be able to 'think' that in the way a person can, but you can bet that the dog would stay away from that person from then on.

Besides, this is a case of pointless and sick human behavior done simply to inflict pain on another living creature. Regardless of what kind of living creature your doing that to, if it's done FOR that reason, it's just wrong.

I do not want to get into a discussion, rather just wanted to state my opinion, for what it's worth.
