I thought it was a fun movie just like all the other Indiana films.

Most of the secrets of the film weren't really secrets. You kind of new it before they were revealed.

What else do you want to know?

HELLO, did Lucas and Spielberg not even re-watch the first one in the last 19 years?

It seemed like Ford and Allen didn't have much chemistry.

And the quick sand sequence seemed very tacked on. And not for a minute did Indy or Marion think they weren't going to get out of that alive.

It was like a sketch on the old Ed Sullivan Show or something.

But, that's a minor thing for me. I'm a big fan of the franchise, and really enjoyed this movie.

That's it! I was trying to put my finger on what was wrong with that scene....
And, I agree on the missing chemistry - seemed very forced.

    Aliens? non-aliens? What the ???

    Motorcycle chase - cool.
Seeing the lost ark again - cool.
Cate posing as a Russian - almost cool.

But come on!! A snake as a rope?

Indy not hardly being called Indy was sucky.

His son being called Mutt? Corny - so Indy was named after HIS dog - but Mutt? jeez.

Let's talk about this crystal skull thing. Wouldn't this have been much more adventurous if the skull had been some sort of artifact from ancient times instead of some detached, alien type mind altering wonder of another world? Ugh.

And, am I crazy? or did this movie pretty much mimmick all of the scenery / stunts from National Treasure 2? I could have sworn some of the props were the same.

I thought Karen Black looked great for her age, and Mr. Ford did hold his own - it's just a shame that it was so obvious that most of the stunts were done by doubles. They could have camoflauged that a little better.

And don't get me started on those stupid ants....

I like to go to the movies as an escape -- fun, relaxing, take my mind off the real world. Indy 4 did just that -- it let me simply let go and enjoy the ride.

And made me miss my annual trek to the Hollywood Bowl to enjoy the music of John Williams. I suspect I'll be purchasing this soundtrack.

I think they stuck to the Indy theme. I think many of the sets looked like National Treasure because they were both trying to replicate the same type of civilization. They both did use a tilting floor and I did notice that.

We were excited to see the ants at first since they looked exactly like the bullit ants we saw in the Amazon and they really are nasty little buggers and just about that size. But that was pretty much where the reality ended. But of course the Indy universe has had very little to do with reality and once accepting this, I thought the ants were pretty cool, especially when they dragged the guy into their anthole.

I just felt it was way too kitchy to even be remotely believable. There should be some reality, if only just a little ;)
