But I am worried and concerned about civil rights violations around the world, and the idea that a young woman can be executed for fighting off her rapists is insanity. I think that you don't perceive as much concern over this particular issue than about torture at Guantanamo is because it really isn't that controversial of a topic here. I think all of us are on the same side here - that this is a bad thing.

The Bali courts are a sham, but it is their law. China is no saint when it comes to human rights either. There seems to be a lot of lip service given by our gov't and other countries to clamping down on the human right violations around the world. It used to be that the rest of the world (except the Communist bloc) would follow our lead when decrying these atrocities. Now, we no longer have the clout to lead the charge. And that is truly a shame.

He said he was NOT a French citizen because he would not be part of those who accept homosexuals. When the libs figure out that Islam would kill a liberal before they would kill a conservative if given a choice, then they might actually start to get reality.

It's all BS. We are on earth to honor god by helping our neighbor, being good people, respecting others. Islam has none of this. K2man... No I have not read the Koran cover to cover, but I have read many, many of its passages just to make sure I wasn't taking things out of context. Make no mistake... it calls for jihad against anyone who does not convert to Islam.
